The order of the Skin Saints began with Vespertine, the Saint of the Sanguine Glyph.Driven by grief and forbidden knowledge, she sought a truth that could not be written, only etched in the body. Her faith attracted five others, each seeking a purpose in death. Now, they are no longer who they were. Their names are altered,their pasts forgotten, replaced by a grotesque holiness. They do not Surf, they do not fight for Justice, they simply harvest.
 
Maleficent was drawn to the dark side of devotion. Her sickle is a moon-sickle, her chains a bind of shadow. Her faith is not just in the moon, but in the eclipse, the moment of complete darkness, the moment of her true power. Her symbols are forbidden truths, her faith is a dark, shadow-casting truth.
